Inclusive Leadership: Awareness and Conscious InfluenceJoin us March 8th for an IN-PERSON Breakfast Chapter Meeting. REGISTRATION COMING SOON! SESSION INFO: This training will discuss how to be an inclusive leader. Check the box programs are not enough for organizations to be inclusive. Leaders need to practice inclusive behaviors with respect to how they interact and engage with employees. This training module is designed to demonstrate how leaders can practice being inclusive in their respective roles by: Ensuring that everyone is given equal opportunity to work on projects and be promoted. Using inclusive language to eliminate barriers of employees feeling they don’t belong and feel valued. Competencies learned in this module include inclusive language, empathy, communication, interpersonal skills. SPEAKER INFO: Nkanta Hines, Sr. President and CEO, Capital Strategy Group: For seven years, Nkanta has served as an adjunct professor of Biology at the collegiate level. He has presented and moderated more than 50 national discussions, presentations, and webinars on topics of leadership, strategy, talent alignment and cultural transformation. Nkanta has also written articles and white papers with application to the healthcare industry, the nonprofit sector, and leadership development/strategy focus that are in circulation with global journals and a large domestic distribution. During his c-suite days as a COO, VP and Director within healthcare and strategy, he led the development of a Lean Six Sigma Institute in partnership with Rutgers University, he managed a $100 million P & L, over 200 staff members in 10 states and 20 facilities. As a consultant, he has led strategic planning and leadership development projects with small to mid-size businesses and state agencies while also leading change management workshops and leadership assessments. Nkanta enjoys teaching and engaging professionals at all levels to pursue the development of their core capabilities and interests. Nkanta holds a bachelor's degree in Education and Biology, a master's degree in Biomedical Science, an MBA - Management, Executive Leadership, High Performance Leadership, Diversity & Inclusion Certifications from Cornell University, and he is Lean Six Sigma Certified.
