Over the next decade, Technology is going to transform the workplace and how people work. Humans will need to become “Hyper-Learners” in order to stay relevant – in order to excel at doing what the technology can’t do well. Organizations will have to become Hyper-Learning Organizations and that will require HR to become Human Development focused


About Our Speaker
Edward D. Hess is Professor of Business Administration; Batten Executive-in-Residence and Batten Faculty Fellow at the Darden Graduate School of Business. Prior to joining academia, he spent more than 20 years in the business world as a senior executive. He is the author of 12 books, 120 practitioner articles and 60 Darden cases dealing with growth, innovation and learning cultures, mindsets, behaviors and processes. His recent book is Hess & Ludwig, Humility Is the New Smart: Rethinking Human Excellence in the Smart Machine Age (Berrett-Koehler, 2017). His work has appeared in Fortune magazine, European Business Review, HBR, SHRM, Fast Company, WIRED, Forbes, INC., Huffington Post, Washington Post, Business Week, the Financial Times and in more than 400 other global media outlets.
