This role follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the
office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working
from the office, located in Richmond, VA, is encouraged for tasks that require a high degree of
collaboration.


As the Manager - HR Technology, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging technology
to optimize HR operations, improve data accuracy and security, and enable data-driven
decision-making. Your contributions will lead to better employee experiences, enhanced
organizational efficiency, and improved business performance.


This role will report to the Head of HR Operations and Technology and have in-depth human
resources information systems experience with a variety of complex technical functions related
to user security, configurations, process workflows, functionality deployment, reporting
automation, and system integrations.


The ideal candidate will have experience supporting and maintaining a company’s HR systems.
Candidate must be forward-looking and receptive to new ideas as essential elements of
continuous improvement. Collaboration, employee focus, creative problem-solving, datadriven,
active listening, and influencing skills are essential.


JOB SUMMARY:
Oversee the design and maintenance of the company’s current HR systems, (Paylocity, BVS,
Ease, and OneStop ticketing system), as well as identify gaps and opportunities for upgrading
HR systems based on new technologies and trends.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Manager – HR Technology, you will be the ‘go to’ person for HR systems, analytics and
reporting needs and the subject matter expert on HR systems in general. You will serve as a
technical point person on important HR projects. You will assess the effectiveness of current
systems and processes, and partner with the team to improve and evolve the HR Systems. This
role requires a responsive, communicative, deadline oriented individual able to consistently
deliver high quality, accurate work. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

HRIS Applications Strategy Working with both internal and external stakeholders to
gather and analyze business requirements and drive the planning, development, testing,
and implementation of the systems.


o Identifying opportunities for automation within all aspects of HR processes.
o Liaising with IT vendors on system implementation & supporting User Acceptance
testing.
o Driving regular review and support implementation and communication of HR
system upgrades and enhancements when required.
o Minimize manual processes and leverage the systems to optimize and digitize
processes.
o Participating in and/or leading projects focused on continuous improvement.
o Provide input to the overall HR Technology roadmap.
o Support the Head of HR Operations and Technology in development of HRIS access
control infrastructure.

HR Reporting and Service Delivery including, but not limited to, each stage of the employee
journey, including onboarding, employee status changes, and off-boarding.


o Manage our HR Service center, (OneStop), to drive awareness of existing services
and requested reporting according to SLA’s.
o Proactively anticipate obstacles and proactively implement solutions and reporting
to scale with the business.


HR Systems - responsible for oversight, optimizing, and maintaining Paylocity and other HR systems

o Perform application walkthroughs, fit/gap analyses, workshops, business process
analyses, specifications, test plans, trouble shooting, acceptance testing and
training.
o Researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws;
perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet
needs fit in proactively partnering with the vendor when needed.
o Create and ensure accurate process documentation is designed and updated for all
HRIS processes.
o Must be able to perform basic system configurations, and learn new vendor
provided enhancements.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate solutions to resolve issues,
enhancements, or upgrades.
o Business intelligence or report building tool experience.
o Manage HR system and reporting related requests via our OneStop HR Service
center (ticketing system).


EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
o Strong business acumen in reviewing and understanding business and technology
requirements.
o Experience as systems administrator with various HR systems, databases, and
applications.
o Proven problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
o Prior experience with Paylocity is strongly preferred.
o Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business/Information Systems, or a related
field of study.
O Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources, focusing on HR systems
preferred.
O Familiar with HR processes and functions (Talent Acquisition, HR Operations,
Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Development, HR Compliance, and Employee
Relations).
O Prior experience using Microsoft Teams preferred.
