Essential Functions

  • Manage the hiring workflow including the following:
  • Working with Department Heads to ensure job descriptions are up to date and consistent across locations
  • Reviewing current job postings to ensure that jobs that are over 30 days old are closed and re-opened as necessary
  • Working with all 13 locations to support local recruiting efforts for entry level positions
  • Working with General Managers to hire Department Heads
  • Conducting phone interviews for Department Head positions
  • Reviewing background checks; ensuring the SOP is followed
  • Completing reference checks for Department Heads
  • Writing creative job postings to ensure we are attracting top talent
  • Researching and implementing innovative recruiting methods
  • Update offer letter templates, as required
  • Supporting hiring through attending career fairs
  • Posting jobs on Paylocity upon request
  • Work with the payroll team to onboard seasonal hires in Paylocity
  • Support the Training and Development Manager with ensuring onboarding checklists are completed and uploaded to the employee record
  • Manage the Charlottesville uniform inventory
  •  Processing uniform requests
  •  Ordering stock from the warehouse

 

Requirements

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • At least 1 year experience with high-volume recruiting
  • Demonstrated ability to source and screen candidates
  • Understanding of the onboarding process, including verifying I-9s
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in a HRIS management system; Paylocity is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent verbal, written and non-verbal communication skills 

Preferred Education

  • Bachelors degree 
  • Advance certifications and/or coursework in human resources 

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to work with a computer for extended periods of time
