Originally from New York, Carla lived a fairly nomadic life prior to moving to Charlottesville, growing up as a child of Barbadian immigrants and serving as a veteran of the U.S. Army. After a career in intelligence analysis, she entered into her current vocation as a Human Resources professional. Her avocations include dance, the arts, and volunteerism. She is a Past President of the Junior League of Charlottesville, and currently serves as a board member for the Paramount Theater of Charlottesville. Carla received her degree from the University of Virginia and has a passion for inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA).
